Pranav Kulkarni presented his impressive modelling on optimal culling strategies when there is a constraint in available heifers. Future: chosen constraint since heifer rearing costs money and CO2. Nice collaboration between Business Economics @WUR and Diergeneeskunde

Many authors describe impact of production animal disease on other aspects than economics. Wilma Steeneveld Diergeneeskunde goes further. In collaborative work with Business Economics @WUR she describes quantification of environmental, animal welfare and public health burden. Work in progress

Ann Chanchaidechachai @wurbec modelled the economics and epidemiology of #FMD interventions in endemic Thailand. Novelty: effect of compliance and potential for free riding. Often forgotten, but very important. Thanks chai and Diergeneeskunde for colaboration
