Here’s Jayden Daniels headed to compete against the Patriots at today’s practice.

Against the Commanders top defensive unit, Drake Maye’s first pass of 11x11 goes to Demario Douglas over the middle. Josh McDaniels offense is Josh McDaniels offense.

And on the other field, Jayden Daniels hums it to Zach Ertz twice on his first three throws.

Celtics star Jayson Tatum just walked on the field for Patriots practice. “Even though you’re injured, you’re the GOAT,” a fan yells from the sideline.

Kayshon Boutte and Marshon Lattimore had some extracurriculars. Big scrum came together with both Patritos and Commanders players. Coaches cleaned it up quickly.

Another one: looks like a Patriots OL and Commanders DL went to the ground. Couldn’t see who.

Javon Baker finished the Patriots’ red zone 11x11 with a touchdown — but then he celebrated by chucking the football into the air. No flag thrown, but if it were a game, it would’ve been a penalty, which Mike Vrabel just talked to the media about avoiding on celebrations.

The practice moved to a showcase 11x11. All eyes on one field. Drake Maye hit Hunter Henry then Kayshon to get into first-and-goal. But on second down, his pass for Demario Douglas got tipped by Bobby Wagner for an INT to CB Mike Sainristil in the end zone.

On fourth and goal, Jayden Daniels’ pass attempt for Ja’Corey Brooks gets knocked away by #Patriots CB Alex Austin, who continues to strengthen his shot at a roster spot.

That’s a wrap for joint practice. The next time the Patriots and Commanders will see each other is in preseason.

Demario Douglas seems like a player the Patriots could highlight in a big way on offense. “I love what’s going on right now and I just pray we stay focused.”

Chatted with Kliff Kingsbury about Deebo Samuel’s impact on Jayden Daniels development. “I think it'll be huge.” Kingsbury: “The route running ability is way better than I anticipated. He has some natural feel, where it's inside, outside, downfield, downfield, making plays.“

Drake Maye asked about Jayden Daniels’ success and whether he thinks about the comparisons. “It’s always in the back of your mind —- the draft class that you came in with. … But like you said, I’m trying to work on myself.”
