Niagara a 79 ton Thames barge built at Wivenhoe 1898, destined for scrap 2001 the owner decided she was too good and a major restoration took place completed 2012. A regular at races, inc todays at Southend bargetrust.org


Also at the Southend barge match Lady Daphne built by Short brothers 1921, one of a few barges built after WWI, carried china clay Portland stone, cement and grain along East & South coasts bargetrust.org


Another race attendee Edith May built 1906 Harwich Essex, carried mainly grain between Yarmouth and London. Fully restored in 1999 by Geoff Gransden bargetrust.org


Marjorie built around 1902 at Orvis shipyard Ipswich carried grain and other cargoes on the Thames bargetrust.org
