finally some positive news from my surgeon post ACL surgery with severe complications. feeling very grateful for a kind, intelligent and compassionate surgeon and immense support system in Charles Dhong lab, friends, and family. Onwards I go on this 9-12 month recovery journey 🥰

this recovery has been traumatic and draining mentally and physically and isn’t over by any means but being cleared to drive again after 7 weeks is so uplifting to have some independence back☺️

acl continues to humble me in the form of getting homework from my PT for a new leg machine at the gym and having to report back that i am unable to do the lightest weight on the machine 💀

Congrats to Shalini and co authors (Laure Kayser, Justin Parreno) on a new paper! It’s on proteoglycan replacements for cartilage: how Kayser Lab’s favorite polyelectrolyte, PSS, retains in cartilage better than typical chondroitin sulfate. pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/ac…

Congrats to Zach et al. Here, we showed that blind participants can use surface coatings to identify playing cards, which in sighted people is signified by color. Funded by NEI The heart the paper is analysis of wear with human touch . pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
