The terrible scenes of civil disorder we have witnessed in Ballymena again this evening have no place in Northern Ireland. There is absolutely no justification for attacks on PSNI officers or for vandalism directed at people’s homes or property.

Huge congratulations to our Chief Executive, Cath Stanley, who has been awarded a British Empire Medal in the King’s Birthday Honours for services to people affected by Huntington’s disease. A well-deserved recognition for over 30 years of dedication, leadership, and advocacy.

A privilege to get the chance to tour Belfast’s breathtaking new state-of-the-art production facility, Studio Ulster, ahead of its official launch yesterday. World-leading technology, new jobs, wonderful films and so much more.

Deeply concerned by the shameful attack on the Belfast Islamic Centre last night. Hatred of this sort has no place in Northern Ireland. If anyone has any information about this, please contact the PSNI.

#ArmedForcesDay. Today the nation unites to thank our forces for all that they do – in ordinary and extraordinary ways – to make Britain secure at home and strong abroad. It’s an honour to be celebrating our military community today with the people of North East Lincolnshire.

Ahead of today’s commemorations in Northern Ireland, this morning I paid my respects to all those who gave their lives at the Battle of the Somme. Let us always remember the ultimate sacrifice made by so many on our behalf.

On this day 77 years ago, Labour created the NHS.  For the first time in UK history, healthcare was free of charge to all who needed it. We will always protect it, so that it can protect you.

Today I visited the RUC Garden of Remembrance - a deeply moving tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice serving their communities. We must never forget their courage or the dedication of those who continue to serve, often at great personal cost.
