Thank you so much for your support Alanna Mallon @MayorSiddiqui Quinton Zondervan Patricia Nolan! Grateful to live in a city that values reproductive justice, and hopeful we can soon say the same about the school we attend Harvard Law School

Did you know that students went on strike and otherwise demonstrated across 60 schools in support of abortion access and gender-affirming care? It's part of a rising tide of activism following the overturn of Roe, organized by YDSA and Graduate Student Action Network. thenation.com/article/societ…

🧵1/ On Monday, Harvard Law School students participated in the years long tradition of DisOrientation. This event is designed every year with love by an anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, and anti-carceral collective of students to tell the history of HLS that administration avoids.

5/ Today, students replaced the messages. Again with chalk. Nothing obscene/profane/threatening. They were immediately met with surveillance by campus security, threats from the office of “Community Engagement Equity and Belonging,” and eventually the presence of armed police.

6/ Because apparently, to @harvard_law, the only thing that can stop a good guy with some chalk is a cop with a gun. Admin brought out hoses to wash away the messages within 30 minutes.
