I’m a UVA alum from this past spring and in my time at UVA, I’ve counted on grad student workers to TA my classes, grade my assignments, and lead lab sections. Many friends are still grad workers there and are currently (repeatedly) late in receiving their pay! UVA #CutTheChecks

We're proud to share that as a result of us taking collective action, some grad student workers have started to get their payments today! We're encouraged that UVA admin has started to move on this. However, there are further concrete steps that need to be taken. #CutTheChecks
