£15m of drugs seized by HMS Diamond in the Indian Ocean... The destroyer's #RoyalMarines boarding team from 42 Commando Royal Marines pounced on a suspect dhow to stop and search the vessel in the Gulf of Aden – 2.4 tonnes of illicit narcotics have now been destroyed. Read more⬇️

🚢@HMSDiamond is in the Red Sea, where she continues to protect the freedom of passage to merchant shipping, and protecting them against Houthi Rebel attacks. The Royal Navy crew continue to train routinely, to ensure the operational effectiveness of themselves and the ship.💪🌊



DIAMOND's 💎 Warfare Dept use the Ship’s Comms, Sensors and Weapons as the main fighting workforce onboard, but they also do: Replenishment at Sea, Gunnery, Seamanship, Anchoring, Aircraft Control, Seaboat Crew, Boarding Operations, Navigating... Interested? Royal Navy


DIAMOND's 💎 Weapon Engineering Dept maintains and provides the Ship’s Communications, Sensors, and Weapons. Behind every radio conversation, radar transmission, and weapon firing is a highly skilled RN Weapon Engineer. Interested? Royal Navy

Shine on you 'mazing Diamond 💎 Welcome home the men and women of HMS Diamond after 7 months away successfully protecting shipping from Houthi drone/missile attacks in the Red Sea. She's due past Portsmouth's Round Tower around 1pm tomorrow, so please show your support.👏


Shine bright like a Diamond… HMS Diamond returned home to Portsmouth for an emotional reunion with loved ones after an historic deployment that saw her shoot down nine drones and a ballistic missiles in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

The Defence Secretary John Healey visited HMNB Portsmouth yesterday to hear from a variety of Royal Navy personnel about their experiences and contributions to operations around the world. He also got to thank the crew of @HMSDiamond which recently returned from the Red Sea.
