New study w/ Tiffany Green is now tiffanylgreen.bsky.social & Hoa Vu: We found that doctors had more racial prejudice than the general population. Also—& this is important—non-physician HC workers (like nurses, HH aides) had even higher prejudice than physicians. Read more: doi.org/10.1016/j.lana…






A lesson from my PhD that continues to shape my research decisions today is the "6 Projects Rule" (credited to Matt Notowidigdo): “At any point, you should aim to have 2 projects at the submission stage, 2 at the “active research” stage, and 2 at the project development stage”.

🧵on my new NBER working paper with Anupam Jena and David Slusky! We compared the birth outcomes of physician moms to lawyers and find that physicians have worse birth outcomes. Further, we evaluate the 2011 duty hour reform's impact on the birth outcomes of physician moms.
