I will join CEE@UCI as a tenured-track assist. prof., Samueli Faculty Development Endowed Chair, and will be a part of the Environmental Health Disparity cluster hire under the Black Thriving Initiative.

Beginning July 1st, Hobbs Lab will be moving to UC Irvine in the department of CEE@UCI in the school of UCI Engineering.

I won’t be attending AEESP2022_WashU because I’ll be snuggling with my newborn; but Hobbs Lab will be represented by Pedro Jesse Martin. Check out his poster and oral presentation. I’m very proud of his research. 👨🏿‍🏫👨🏾‍🔬 #AEESP2022

Last day UK Engineering couldn’t have ended any better. It’s been so great getting to work and explore the bluegrass. While I’m excited for the new opportunity ahead of me with Hobbs Lab Shakira Hobbs, PhD on the shores of CEE@UCI, leaving has definitely been bittersweet.

Our newest PhD student, Alexis Woods, gave her first oral presentation as a graduate at the 9th Annual HBCU Climate Change Conference. She even got the chance to meet one of the leaders in EJ, Robert D. Bullard and won an iPad! Please join us in celebrating her.
