William A. Booth We also need public criticism of the institutions accepting hundreds of students onto courses that they don’t have the capacity to teach or accommodate for profit. They provide students a subpar experience whilst sucking the lifeblood from the rest of the sector.

The law is often framed as some neutral thing to which actions and events in history can be judged. But in reality, the law has often in history been a tool wielded by the powerful to achieve what they want and to control others, entirely divorced from morality.

Newcastle is the latest to go to this model of no unfunded research to reduce staff. The Russell Group marketing sham will still promote it as a research-intensive institution. Staff will also have to publish for their careers. This will be unpaid, out of hours work.

Much of our knowledge of ancient individuals is limited to the elite, people like rulers/generals. Yet occasionally we come across archaeology that reveals a tiny glimpse of the life of a regular person. Meet Onfim! He lived 800 years ago and boy, did he find homework boring.🧵1/
