In celebration of the Month of Mary, our Faith in Action group gathered this week to surround our stature with flowers and to pray the Rosary together.  We pray that, like Mary, we will be open to hearing God's voice and responding to his call.

📚 Our Reading Intervention pupils and members of our Leadership Team had a fantastic visit yesterday to Astley View Care Home.  They shared stories and smiles, making some meaningful connections with the residents. ✨

Some Year 11 pupils visited Chorley Fire Station. They learnt about RTCs and equipment, they were able to use the hoses and see the latest trainee fire and rescue dog in action. Thank you for the engaging and informative visit. #LancashireFireandRescueService

Our Bible Group enjoyed their visit to the Hand-Crafted Bible Exhibition at St Joseph's.  Accompanied by Linda and Mr Lindley, they were given a guided tour of the exhibits which covered the Bible.  We especially liked the flock of sheep!

Miss Moore’s GCSE Product Design pupils visited Leyland Trucks. They were given a presentation about applying for their apprenticeship programme in 2026 and a fantastic, informative tour of the full site. Thank you to all of the staff for being so welcoming. Leyland Trucks

🥇 This week we are celebrating the achievements of our pupils this half-term. This morning, Year 10 were awarded their certificates, chocolates and jump-the-queue passes for their continued hard work, attendance and generally living out our mission statement.

🎉 This morning, Mrs Waugh led the celebration assembly for Year 9. Pupils were awarded with their certificates and prizes from curriculum areas, form tutors, Head of Year and 100% attendance. Well done everyone!

Pupils from the Year 10 and 11 Alternative Curriculum visited Marley Court Care Home to complete some gardening work and to chat with residents as part of their Gardening and Horticulture unit. They all had a lovely time and their visit was much appreciated by all 🪴

🚐 This week we took delivery of two new minibuses. These will be in use from after half-term.

Today our Year 11 pupils have enjoyed a wonderful celebration afternoon. They had their last Mass, fun on the field and a celebration assembly led by Mrs Tierney.
