Reasons for home educating may offer some insight. Schools are seen as outdated institutions & unsafe spaces that fail to meet needs & penalise parents for prioritising children's health, safety & wellbeing. Enforcing state outcomes at the expense of rights is not education.

Social workers and government trying to pin Sara Sharif's death on her being home schooled, long after she had been in school and known to social services, is an absolute disgrace. Social Services failed this little girl. Our child protection system fails too many. #SaraSharif
