.James Fletcher have the right to parents and parents can only be parents if they have the right to act as parents enabling them to carry out their parental duties. So parental rights are really children’s rights." Mike Wood #HomeEducation #PetitionsDebate

.James Fletcher Parents are growing increasingly more tired of parent-blaming. It's not like the government have all the answers! We feel very strongly about our children, and our right to protect and nurture them according to our own values and beliefs. #HomeEducation

.James Fletcher Years of consultations and surveys and murmurings in UK Parliament. When will we be left in peace to parent and enjoy time with our children instead of having to constantly defend against needless meddling with something that works? #HomeEducation

.James Fletcher Social worker/home ed parent here. The #HomeEducation kids are fine. The same can't be said of those in school sadly. Let's get Department for Education to tidy up their own backyard first before worrying about anyone else, shall we? #PetitionsDebate #FairHearing4Home

@jules101uk julietenglish James Fletcher UK Parliament Yes and it's not just parliament, the media also spreads plenty of inaccurate hysteria and myths about #homeeducation. If there was less gaslighting, scaremongering and lying about our families then perhaps the focus could shift to children out there who are genuinely vulnerable

.James Fletcher There is not just suspicion about #homeeducation, there is a great deal of discrimination against children who are or have been home educated. #PetitionsDebate

.Naz Shah MP Appreciate your comments around #homeeducation at #PetitionsDebate. Home educators need to be able to trust LA's, but unfortunately they give us no reason to. James Fletcher

It's time to pause and reflect on the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, contravenes ECHR Article 14 according to KC Aiden O'Neill. Read more in the long version of my speech below and repost to your local MP/Peer and Advisors. (5/5) tinyurl.com/ProtectHE LabourList
