I hate how #inaccessible access is... I can't use the Yale University accessible shuttle without a medical note stating I use a wheelchair...but I'm new to the USA, so the earliest appt I could get was 2 months after my start date. I can't get into the office... 1/

Yale University I'm just so tired of "accessibility". If someone requests the accessible shuttle, it should be granted - no questions asked. TBH it's not better than the regular shuttle. Just ableds thinking ppl will abuse it, but as usual it just makes it #inaccessible 3/

We talk a lot about how Utah ranks #1 for the economy and #2 for child well-being. But we don’t talk about how that connects to ranking #50 in women’s equality. #utpol

How much is spent on DEI administration at Utah’s public colleges and universities? I broke down the numbers. The big takeaway: It's less than half of a percent of the operating budget at any public institution of higher education in the state. sltrib.com/news/education…

After pro football's FIRST real Black team trounced the white boys on National TV, the NFL merged with the AFL. And that's why the Super Bowl is actually a DEI project. Happy Black History Month!

And I'm also fundraising this week for a family in Gaza. If you appreciated/ learned something from this thread, please donate what you can spare to Alaa, who's 8 months pregnant. She needs to evacuate so she can deliver her baby in a hospital. 22/ gogetfunding.com/evacuate-ahmad…

The GoGetFunding site keeps going down, so I've created a backup GoFundMe site for Alaa's family. I'm working with @/AmongTheRubble on Instagram, and we will ensure all the GoFundMe funds get to Alaa's family! gofundme.com/f/evacuate-8-m…

Two professors at UT Austin, John Hatfield and Daniel Bonevac, are suing for the right to penalize their students who miss class because they are obtaining an abortion out-of-state. media.aflegal.org/wp-content/upl…

I covered this in my newsletter yesterday & it’s truly wild. The professors say they’d only give an excused absence for a “medically necessary” abortion. I’d love to know how they expect students to prove this. Do they want young women to hand over their medical records?
