Fine evening south of islands with Oriole Birding charter: usual Big 3 - Wilson’s, Great & Cory’s Shears - but highlights for locals were 3 Sabs Gulls, Long-tailed Jaeger and dark-morph Pom jaeger. Plenty of regular seabirds, too.

More Wilson’s Petrels than Stormies today!!! The Wilson’s Petrels were on active migration, moving straight through. With the Petrels spending time around the chum and then away, ultimately heading south to the Southern Atlantic/Antarctica, so exciting to witness!

Huge thanks to the teams Scilly Pelagics & Oriole Birding for a superb few days looking for seabirds off Scilly. 70 Wilsons petrels + lots of big shears. If you was some top quality pelagic birding I can't recommend these trips highly enough.

Wonderful images of STORM who recently became the first GPS-tagged Spoonbill to fly from the Netherlands to UK. It's so nice to get such intimate views from the roost on Brownsea Island. Tracking data reveals she has explored much of Poole Harbour since arriving 6 days ago.

Hey folks – the Club is run entirely by volunteers. We need new people to keep it alive and kicking! Our many followers on social media clearly value it. Membership's great value at £20 a year, but it’s not just your money we’re after – we need your unique input and contribution.

First tag of the season retrieved!!! 😄🎉🌊 a very exciting moment indeed. The first incubation-stage foraging track to be recorded from a #Faroese Storm-petrel - worth all the immense effort that it takes! Fingers crossed for more now! SEAGHOSTS Rob Thomas

Great video from Mya Bambrick of one of the Poole Harbour White-tailed Eagles from Bruno C. de Paula Ham Common on the Birds of Poole Harbour pop-up. What a privilege to see these from these urban reserves, such a great opportunity to connect with nature and enjoy a magical experience.

Nice to see a number of Elephant Hawkmoth Larvae popping up around the garden. Providing small wild areas/native planting/pond etc within the garden, even in an urban setting can benefit so many species. Gardens can be such a valuable resource to wildlife, please do your bit🙏
