Approximately 1.8% of patients with isolated vertebral metastases developed leptomeningeal disease (LMD), most commonly from breast cancer, a finding not well described in the literature, which has largely focused on brain metastases as the source of LMD. doi.org/10.1007/s11060…

In a recent publication in JNS Pediatrics, a team of doctors from the JHU School of Medicine described their unique approach to wound management following a pediatric craniotomy. Take a look at some of the modified head turbans that have been created over the past three years!

At the amazing Spine By The Sea conference in Laguna Beach, California sponsored by the team at UC Irvine. A wonderful venue with great discussions and education. Probably the only time in my career that I have delivered a keynote address with a view of the Pacific Ocean!

Results from Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery-led study demonstrate increased OS in GBM with resection beyond contrast-enhancing tumor margins. With no associated increase in postoperative deficits, PTR >1.74 cm3 was both effective and safe in select cases. acsjournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… OncoAlert
