👋 from #allforcity training. Some good signs early as Roman Bürki was out here mingling with the GK group — original injury timeline still stands. All players not on the injury list are accounted for as expected with JGR joining training as well. Vibes seem good.

Miggy Almerón's first goal back in Atlanta was a catalyst for what may become a season defining victory. It was a special moment. Some late night reading and my latest for #MLS mlssoccer.com/news/miguel-al…

From the 75th minute onward: 0.62 xG generated on 11 shots. Over the course of the match: 1.16 xG generated on 17 shots. Maybe it’s a different story with Teuchert available but the efficiency just isn’t there. #allforcity

Olof Mellberg on Célio Pompeu, “I thought he did very well. He’s had a good couple of weeks training as well. He’s still building fitness and everything but he’s a good player technically and I thought he did very well.” Also highlighted the Célio/Wallem partnership #allforcity

Tomáš Ostrák on the performance vs Austin “We have to be more, as a group, more efficient in front of goal.” “The second half, we did better, going into the locker we knew we could be better and we had to show it to the fans and show it to everyone that we can play.” #allforcity

St. Louis CITY SC are starving for execution after another scoreless outing against Austin FC. It's a starkly different outlook from the 1-0 loss at Philadelphia... but the frustration in key moments remains the same. New from me #allforcity talkinsoccer.substack.com/p/st-louis-cit…

I’ve been exploring ways STL can find a spark in their attack. In today’s St. Louis Magazine newsletter, I touched on the bond between Célio Pompeu and Tomáš Ostrák and how it could hint at a way forward for #allforcity or at the very least — a more dynamic look. stlmag.com/news/sports/to…
