Hungary was caught planning to invade Ukraine. We'll see if NATO and the EU take any notice. My prediction is they'll do nothing. Weak and cowardly Western leadership clings to the delusion that Russia and its client state Hungary can be appeased and the war will go away.

Hungary doesn't belong in NATO. Ukraine does. Hungary doesn't belong in the European Union. Ukraine does. Neither of these organizations can reach their full potential of contributing to peace and prosperity in Europe until this injustice is corrected.

Two Hungarian diplomats must leave our country within 48 hours. We have just summoned Hungarian Ambassador to MFA of Ukraine 🇺🇦 and presented him with the relevant note. We are acting in response to Hungary’s actions, based on the principle of reciprocity and our national interests.

Ukraine should be admitted to NATO immediately, just as West Germany was admitted to NATO without preliminaries in 1955. Without Ukraine, NATO cannot provide for peace and security in the North Atlantic area.

So Trump just took the opportunity to embarrass Europe by neutering the big ultimatum before the deadline was even reached. This is wakeup call number 73, I think, but I lost count.
