Yellowhammers have sadly declined in recent years and are Red listed in the UK. It was great to see this handsome male in amongst the reed buntings this morning as it flitted between the hawthorn and arable land adjacent to the reserve. #eastcoastflyway #nature #humber

As many of you know, we have a fantastic view from our office at Waters' Edge Visitor Centre! The team downstairs are always looking for ways to improve the park, through their Friends of Waters' Edge Committee. Please give them a helping hand by answering their questionnaire.

Our usual spring build up of Curlews feeding on the Coastal Wet Grassland are now looking superb in their chestnut tinged breeding plumage. Soon to be on their way east to Scandinavia. Humber Nature Partnership #eastcoastwetlands

Insects (and their larvae) are and important food source for many species of birds. The more wetland habitats we have the more chances insects and birds have to thrive. This large red damselfly was hunting along the pathways this morning. #eastcoastflyway #nature #humber
