This week is Men's Health Week - an annual event that's dedicated to raising awareness about the preventable health issues that disproportionately affect men. In light of this, we wanted to share useful information about sexual health, a topic that's often overlooked.

In 2022, Healthwatch England launched Your Care, Your Way campaign to find out whether the Accessible Information Standard is being met. Key issues identified include the lack of face-to-face appointments and difficulties in booking appointments. Read more on our website.

On Friday 13 June, we visited the Portman Early Childhood Centre as part of our monthly feedback drop-ins in community settings. We spoke to 10 mothers about their experience of using local health and social care services. Our next visit will take place on Tuesday 5 August.

Yesterday we visited Pimlico Library during their Digital Libraries session which aims to offer library visitors one-to-one digital support. A total of 15 people shared with us feedback about accessing healthcare services and barriers to digital inclusion.

Today we celebrate the NHS' birthday! The year 2025 marks 77 years since the establishment of the NHS in 1948. It's an opportunity for the nation to come together and reflect on the accessible healthcare provided to millions and the ongoing community work that the NHS supports.
