#elmgamejam has less than a month to go, but still there is plenty of time to participate! I’m collaborating on a 3D pool game with Jared M. Smith. You can check our WIP here: unsoundscapes.itch.io/pool

This is super cool and mesmerizing (try moving the mouse around!), Erkal is having way too much fun with elm-3d-scene: erkal.surge.sh/mouse-ray/

experimenting with Ian Mackenzie's elm-3d-scene. I copied the code of evancz/elm-playground (It is only one file!) and made two changes: 1. rendering is done via elm-3d-scene instead of elm/svg, 2. it allows you to create range sliders. Demos and code github.com/erkal/elm-3d-p…

Tomek has been a very good friend for a very long time! He's doing really cool things with Lofty and I would wholeheartedly recommend him as someone to work with.

Another great job opportunity involving elm-3d-scene! I have it on good authority that it features prominently in Groq's stack =)

A puzzle from Martin Gardner's column. Made with Elm using elm-3d-scene 🙏💖. Solve: erkal.github.io/elm-3d-playgro… Source: github.com/erkal/elm-3d-p… #martingardner #recreationalmathematics #puzzle #puzzlegames #gamedev #combinatorics #grouptheory #graphtheory #mathematics

The image itself is cool but you don't get the full effect until you visit the page! Check out the bumps and wrinkles you can see in the crown when you enable the normal map and orbit around...

I think it's safe to say most 3D web apps display geometry that was created in some other program (like Blender). Very exciting to see Elm starting to be used to go the other way, generating geometry from scratch! Hopefully this is just the start for 3D creative coding in Elm =)

I'd love to see some "combustion-free" zones in cities: neighbourhoods without gas heating or stoves, internal combustion vehicles not allowed on the streets, as walkable as possible so cars aren't really needed anyways. Could start small (one square block) and expand from there.

I've got a nice issue of Elm Weekly focused on generative art for tomorrow, but it's been quiet on the news front, and I could really use more posts & talks at this point! If you've been waiting to do a writeup about your cool project, I'm looking forward to it 😀 #elmlang

Wake up to the reality of climate and ecological breakdown. It will get as bad as we let it, it is essentially irreversible, and stopping it is far more important than preserving extractive capitalism or our current ways of life.

Time-traveling made easy by The Elm Architecture! Demo: erkal.github.io/elm-3d-playgro… All demos with their source codes: github.com/erkal/elm-3d-p… Elm is really great for creative coding and game development! #creativecoding #generativeart #geometry #mathematics #gamedev

elm-pages v2 is here! - No webpack - Dev server hot reloads Elm code and data! - DataSource's let you pull in data (with no loading spinners) from local files, HTTP, glob patterns, etc. This release makes so many new use cases possible! elm-pages.com/blog/introduci…
