icandance’s ‘iam Dance Company’ and Tring Park School are collaborating on a special project. This collaboration brings together disabled and non-disabled dancers, allowing young people from different communities to build relationships & explore creativity!

Our film, the Young Ambassador's Guide to icandance, has been shortlisted in the 2025 Smiley Charity Film Awards! 🏆🎬 On this #InternationalWheelchairDay, we celebrate inclusion, accessibility, and the voices of our incredible young people. A huge thank you to those who voted!

Emily takes us behind the scenes at the BeWell Family Dance Festival! Our iam Dance Company took to the stage at the artsdepot, performing alongside incredible artists in a showcase presented by Dare2Dance. We had a lot of fun performing, complete with the backstage antics!

"My friends at icandance light up my world." Above all, dance is about friendship! Our young people had the opportunity to be together when we recently performed at the Camden Youth Festival at The Place, and what an unforgettable experience it was!

Our young people had the opportunity to perform their very own solos at our dance sessions! We were overjoyed to celebrate each dancer as they told their stories through movement. It highlighted the importance of being visible in our communities.

To wrap up our spring term, our dancers brought their loved ones along to icandance to share the joy of movement. 💃✨ Our family and friends dance day was such a fun way to celebrate our community and head into the Easter break! We can’t wait for our upcoming summer term ☀️

Today on Autism Awareness Day, we wanted to celebrate Matthew, who took the stage at the Camden Youth Dance Festival! He performed his powerful solo On The Line, a piece he co-choreographed with Sofia Pomeroy. Through movement and his love for transport, he tells his story.

Today we celebrate Bianca, who is finishing her internship at icandance! Bianca came from Brazil to learn about the icandance approach, deepen her understanding as a dance educator and improve her skills to support her students back home.

What a night to remember at Charity Film Awards! It was an honour for our film, the Young Ambassador’s Guide to icandance, to be nominated as a finalist. Our team Josh and Agnes had an amazing time at the award ceremony, celebrating alongside all the incredible charities and causes!

Emily has been part of the icandance community since she was four years old, and over the years, she’s grown into a confident young leader who now speaks out about inclusion!

We have partnered with the University of Roehampton on an exciting research project exploring how rhythm, music and movement supports relationships and mental health. A huge thank you to the Roehampton faculty for leading this meaningful study! 💛
