This year's DSBN International Concussion Summit has started! A warm welcome to all attendees from across 🇨🇦 and 🇺🇸! In our 10th year, we are thankful to our former director, Warren Hoshizaki for his vision in advancing awareness around concussions through this Summit.

A sincere thank you to Ken Dryden for joining ICS for a third time in our ten years. An insightful and frank talk on where we were a decade ago regarding concussions, and where we are now. A strong message received about next steps required by professional sports leagues.

An interesting presentation by Dr. Clara Karton on measuring brain trauma in sport and the application of AI. In her talk, Dr. Karton described how using AI will provide tools to sports organizations, coaches, and medical teams to guide the management of head trauma.

An excellent start to day two of the International Concussion Summit! Thank you to Dr. Ann McKee for an engaging talk that shared updates in CTE. It was interesting to learn how the brain pathology of CTE differs from other neurodegenerative diseases. #icsniagara

An informative talk by Dr. John Leddy on how the examination and treatment of youth with concussion have changed over the past 15 years. We also appreciated learning how return to school, to physical education class, and to sport in youth with concussion have changed as well.

The level and knowledge of the presenters at the ICS is out of this world. To see one of these presenters is exciting, let alone all at the same conference. If you’re involved with athletes you should definitely put it on your list, I’ll for sure be back. #icsniagara
