Good point. Also different candidate mixes. How closely the candidate mix results from the characteristics of the electorate is an open question.

What a wonderful idea around which to construct an empirical research question for HS or early college students. Would involve observation and sampling, but also mapping and comparative analysis. Maybe even group project!
