Earlier, I, along with other Research Advisory Committee members of IIT Hyderabad had wonderful discussions on a range of topics related to publishing in high I.F. journals, publication matrices, research assessment etc.

At the end, I discussed the way forward and some actionable items (short & long term) to have engagement & collaboration with Wiley Publications. Thanks Dr. Rohini Kitture and Dr. Swagata for visiting us. It was a day well spent.

My two-year journey as Dean (Office SRC IIT Hyderabad IIT Hyderabad) has come to an end yesterday. I am grateful for the opportunity to have served the IIT Hyderabad to the best of my abilities during this period. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone for their collaboration & support, including the Director, Deans, Heads of Dept, Heads of Sections, and the entire team at SRC office, IIT Hyderabad. Here is my last message as Dean Office SRC IIT Hyderabad to IIT Hyderabad fraternity.

Receiving your farewell messages has been truly touching. I appreciate the kind sentiments shared & cherish the memories. Looking ahead, I'm excited to dedicate more time to my family & students. Thank you once again for ur support & encouragement thruout my journey as Dean.

As I transition from this role, I take a moment to reflect on my 2-year tenure thru a report card & self-evaluation. It has been a fulfilling experience contributing 2 the growth & development of institute. Looking ahead, I'm excited 2 dedicate more time 2 my family & students.

DSTIndia supported #SATHI Centre for In-Situ & Correlative Microscopy (#CISCoM) at IIT Hyderabad was inaugurated today by Prof. Abhay Karandikar. This facility is being established with 60 Cr funding from DST & 20 Cr from 18 partners from academic institutions, R&D labs & industries.

#SATHI #CISCoM facility @IITH, 1st of its kind in 🇮🇳 will house 9 state-of-the-art in-situ microscopy facilities including Atom Probe, μFTIR, Rheometer & Optical μscope, already set up. 3D Atom Probe (LEAP 6000 XR model) is only 6th installation globally (4 are in 🇰🇷, 1st in 🇮🇳).

Imp: This facility is established in record 6 months after sanction frm DSTIndia. 👏 #TeamSATHI led by Sai & Shourya. Glad 2 facilitate the process as Dean Office SRC IIT Hyderabad. An example how v can still follow GFR & establish such huge facility quickly w/ proactive & coordinated efforts.

On this momentous occasion, Prof. Abhay Karandikar also inaugurated #HallOfFame at Admin Building. The #HallOfFame depicts the glorious journey of last 16 years of IIT Hyderabad in pictorial way and showcase various products & technologies developed by IIT Hyderabad Faculty & Students.

Prof. Abhay Karandikar also visited TiHAN-IIT Hyderabad , a technology innovation hub for autonomous navigation where Prof. Rajalakshmi & her team demonstrated an up-lift of passenger drone with a payload of 60& 100 kg to be developed further as air-ambulance for remote areas.

Joined a panel on "Triumph Over Barriers in Tech. Translation" during DSTIndia Startup Utsav- #NIDHI IMPACT@8 celebration IIT Delhi. I discussed major bottlenecks & shared a few enabling policies adopted at IIT Hyderabad apart frm my own learnings as founder of a startup to ToT.

A lot is done in last decade however much more is, yet 2 b done 2 tap & nurture talent & foster innovation culture at an early stage. Abhay Karandikar, Secy. DSTIndia inaugurated Startup Utsav 2 celebrate 8 years of #NIDHI program along w/ Director IIT Delhi & Praveen Roy, Head TTI.

At this occasion, Hon’ble S&T Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh also addressed the gathering thru a video message. 8 new NIDHI TBIs were inaugurated. Impact reports & compendiums of DST NIDHI PRAYAS; EIR Program; DST supported 50 Impactful Women-Led Indian Startups were also released.
