The Women in Logic community is deeply saddened to have learned of the recent death of Line van den Berg Line van den Berg.

Line completed her Master of Logic at the ILLC, University of Amsterdam, in 2018, with a thesis on Unreliable Gossip: eprints.illc.uva.nl/1597/1/MoL-201… In her thesis, she developed a dynamic communication framework for unreliable agents.

She developed her interests in this area in her PhD research, but took it in a novel direction, applying DEL tools to the evolution of cultural knowledge: moex.inria.fr/files/theses/t….

She completed her PhD at University Grenoble Alpes and Inria in 2021, and was working as a post-doc in the Logic and Theory Group at the University of Bern at the time of her death.
