Excellent thread by Lee Jones. This point is vital. Both regimes in #Cambodia and #Thailand are struggling economically and politically, and this distraction serves a purpose. For #Cambodia watchers, I'd add that the conflict reveals how firmly Hun Sen remains in charge.
