Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has launched the Produce for Lagos Programme alongside a ₦500 billion Offtake Guarantee Fund to strengthen food security, reduce imports, and enhance agriculture in Nigeria.

With Lagos being the country's largest food market—valued at ₦16.14 trillion—the initiative aims to connect farmers to buyers, provide financing, logistics support, and create jobs.

It includes the deployment of 150 cold and dry trucks and will be implemented through the Lagos Food Systems Infrastructure Company (LAFSINCO) with support from several agencies and private sector partners.
