🚜🌾 UP Agri Production Commissioner Shri Deepak Kumar visited ISARC to observe field trials & innovations in Direct Seeded Rice (DSR), and appreciated ISARC’s efforts in scaling DSR across the state as a key step toward sustainable, cost-effective rice farming in UP Government of UP

On Day 2 of his visit to ISARC, UP Agri Production Commissioner Shri Deepak Kumar discussed scaling DSR, STRVs, organic farming, GIS-based fallow mapping, genome sequencing, rice value-added products, and the Seed Without Borders initiative to strengthen UP’s agri-food systems.

The BADC & IRRI have partnered to modernize the seed planning system by replacing manual processes w/ a dynamic, data-driven digital platform. The project will improve varietal replacement rates by aligning seed supply w/ real-time farmer demand.
