Thank God. Thank the courage and resilience of Syrians. This is a victory for Syrians first and foremost. It is also a breath of relief for most Lebanese and a step toward decency for the world. May such despotism be consigned to the ash heap of history, never to return. Mabrook!

Yesterday was a personal day of celebration as decades of pent-up emotions poured out with the regime's fall. Today, sobriety sets in. The road ahead for Syrians who wish to build a society of liberty and rule of law is daunting. But I keep all hope that they "know their way."
