Representing the Vice Chancellor, Barnabas Nawangwe, Mr. Kiranda Yusuf, the Makerere University University Secretary, described the Health National Adaptation Plan 2025-2030 as a comprehensive roadmap guiding Uganda’s efforts to build a climate-resilient health sector.#HNAPUG


According to Barnabas Nawangwe, the H-NAP outlines strategic interventions aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO)’s framework for building climate-resilient health systems. "For us at Makerere University, this output aligns with our shift towards impactful research," said the Vice Chancellor. #HNAPUG


Barnabas Nawangwe emphasized that the success of #HNAPUG relies on strong collaborations among government, health agencies, civil society, the private sector, and academia. He reaffirmed Makerere University's commitment to being a key partner in this effort.


Makerere University School of Public Health received an appreciation award today from Ministry of Health- Uganda for its contributions to building a climate-resilient system in Uganda. Rt. Hon. Rt Hon Rukia Nakadama 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, 3rd D/Prime Minister, presented the award to Rhoda Wanyenze for MakSPH's technical support in developing the #HNAPUG.
