I was excited to have a student from my class 9 years ago come observe me today. She wanted to do her first observation to become a teacher herself with me. I am so honored that she thought enough of me to want to come back and continue learning from me. My heart is full! 🥰

I love that virtual learning has opened up new possibilities. My students are raising money for the homeless by hosting virtual hobby classes AND my own children get to participate! Learning to code and drawing cartoons.

Today was my birthday. I have lunch with my students every Thursday virtually, and we play Among Us. Today’s version was a birthday party - notice all of the party hats! @relationshipsmatter

My virtual 5th graders created artifacts to design an exhibit for the Revolutionary War. So many exciting things created, from Legos to cardboard to Minecraft videos. WOW! Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s exhibits. Affton Schools Gotsch Intermediate

Love giving students choice. 😍 Reading, math project, fraction practice, social studies research, and science experiment all happening simultaneously while I meet with small groups. Allowing students freedom to make their own schedules each day. 🙌🏻

This is one of the reasons Taylor Pierce and I started flexible scheduling in our elementary class. Students work at their own pace all day to complete work based on their needs.
