This afternoon I met the Minister for the Future of Roads, Lilian Greenwood, to talk about the Government's investment for the A12. I've met the Minister a number of times to press for upgrades to our local road network, so I'm delighted to finally progress this crucial project.

Public transport is vital, so I am pleased to see the biggest improvement to bus services in Suffolk since 1998, backed by new Government funding. This is good news for residents in Ipswich, with a number of additional options now available. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Appalled by Israeli Defence Minister Katz's proposal to move Gaza's population to Rafah. Palestinian territory must not be reduced. Civilians must be able to return to their communities. We need to move towards a ceasefire deal and open a pathway to lasting peace.

In 2010, the Suffolk Conservatives pledged that our 47 children's centres were safe. By 2020, there were just 17 left open full-time after their cuts. I led the campaign to save them. Now, in 2025, I am proud to be part of a Labour Government rolling out Best Start Family Hubs.

🩷 We popped out to the Arcade Tavern and the Thomas Wolsey (Old Phone) yesterday to soak up some of the pre-Ed atmosphere. It was so good to see our town vibrant and decked out in pink, with people coming from all over to have a good time. Here's to a whole weekend of this!

A great Ipswich Labour 🇬🇧🌹 team out in south-west Ipswich this morning. A range of issues came up, but it is clear the continuous problems with the Orwell Bridge / A14 are causing huge disruption and frustration. A number of people signed our petition and want to see action.

🩷 Some gigs just mean more. People will be talking about Ed Sheeran HQ's homecoming weekend for years to come. It made people happy, brought us all together, and we felt so proud to be from Ipswich and Suffolk. The world's spotlight shone on our town and we rose to the occasion.
