The Cordis infuses *much* faster than a triple lumen CVC for reasons that are predicted by the Poiseuille equation: - it's wider - it's shorter and - it only has one lumen instead of 3 (remember the '7 Fr' triple lumen catheter is really a compilation of 3 smaller catheters)
