Do we really need 7-9h sleep? Many sleep much less, feeling fine. No obviously deviant features of the brain structure of those sleeping < 6h without sleep problems. Time to stop giving general advices, instead recognizing the huge individual differences? LCBC - UiO Lifebrain

Check our Trends in Cognitive Sciences paper-differences in brain and cognition in aging do not necessarily reflect age changes! Greater effects of modifiable factors early in life. Should #aging and #AD research look to development? LCBC - UiO Anders Martin Fjell @lovdenlab authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S13…

Is change a weak source of individual differences in brain & cognition in aging? Too much weight on late-life modifiable factors? Stable individual differences from early in life deserve more attention in aging and AD research. Its all about timing! Link below for full reasoning

I'm very proud to share our recent paper, mapping brain asymmetries from mid- to late life using multimodal MRI Nature Communications. 🧠🌓 For me, this is a major achievement, and I'm grateful for the great collaborations which made this possible! rdcu.be/dxvss
