Today’s #beetle picture is a sampling of things that I’ve extracted with homemade Winkler funnels. 4 Paederinae, 2 Aleocharinae, 2 Pselaphinae, a Staphylininae, a Lampyridae larva (I think), a Ptiliidae, and a rare treat Protocucujidae, all from the same moss cushion

After a couple days of internet trouble, I’m back with some more #beetle pics. Gonna show some love to the little brown beetles, starting with this Ericmodes tarsalis (Protocucujidae). Check out those teeth on the pronotum!
