Couldn't sleep last night so read a few bits on Granta. This James Scudamore piece about James Joyce's grandson is absolutely class granta.com/ecce-senex-ste…

England Is Mine by Nicolas Padamsee - an The Observer New Review Top 10 Debut of 2024 is out now: uk.bookshop.org/p/books/englan…

Launched today, the British debut of the year so far, in my unbiased opinion - congratulations Nicolas Padamsee for his extraordinary ENGLAND IS MINE serpentstail.com/2024/04/08/qa-…. If you're in London come and party with us tonight at Burley Fisher Books

Once people start taking action, others join in too. 💪 Loving this amazing effort to plant thousands of trees to recreate lost woodlands in Lake District. 🌳 Time to deliver more of this. ✅ bbc.com/news/articles/…

I was wondering what China Miéville had been up to. I saw him at a Pages of Hackney event back in 2012. l vividly remember him nailing Boris Johnson's soaking up of the London Olympics goodwill at every conceivable opportunity. He referred to him as a "ninja of bumptiousness" haha

Couple of sightings out in the wild. Sanderson's Isle in @CityBooksinHove, The Litten Path in News From Nowhere. The Litten Path turns 5 this year. I was 28 when I started it, 31 when I finished. 2 years later it was out. Big up Salt Books for taking a chance on it
