Jon Lund James Tomlinson I’m not sure we’re getting the (free!) basics right - making sure we get enough sleep to improve performance as an example. There are translatable lessons we can bring across even in the chaotic, austere NHS!

James Tomlinson There are definitely some parallels . Managing fatigue ensure optimised fitness of surgeon , Good team brief , written plan A and B and mental rehearsal of the surgery , optimised ergonomics, reassessment of situation during procedure , all make for best outcomes possible .
