The ARINS/Irish Times results are almost identical to our general election survey: ARINS/IT: NI in UK 48% v 34% United Ireland; UoL General Election: NI in UK 48.6% v UI 33.7%. We found support for a UI up by 5 points from the 2019 general election.

Re-sharing this observation from Jon Tonge in light of the evening's discussion on BBC The View. Striking similarity between the University of Liverpool's recent NI General Election study and the 2024 ARINS/Irish Times NI survey findings Mark Carruthers 👇

It’s clear from this that the only difference between Steve Witkoff’s and Vladmir Putin’s views on the war in Ukraine is that Putin actually knows the names of all the five Ukrainian regions he wants to keep.

A crucial but less discussed element of the immigration story is exactly when and precisely why legal visas exploded in number. The below table (from the OBR) tells all. It was just after Brexit, and because Boris Johnson’s government brought in a new points based system (1/3)
