A positive start to 2025 for ๐Ÿซ health of tradies - banning imports of engineered stone will prevent silicosis and save lives ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ #silicosis #lungs #lookafteryourlungs

From 1935 - how much has really changed when workers around the world remain at risk of this incurable but totally preventable disease? ๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿซ #dustytrades #lungs #silicosis #fibrosis #tuberculosis

Prof Jane Bourke (@jane_bourke_phd) 's Twitter Profile Photo

For Joshua and so many others, #silicosis hasnโ€™t gone away with the banning of engineered stone. Support for those affected and their families has to remain a high priority - along with more research funding to find effective treatments for this currently incurable disease ๐Ÿซ

Sex and gender affect health - from conditions and symptoms to treatment and outcomes, yet this is often overlooked in medical research, risking optimal patient care. Introducing change typically takes 17 years from theory to translation, but we canโ€™t wait that long. [1/2]
