Weird sequence of events here in Omaha. OSU starter Ethan Kleinschmit was called for a balk against Coastal's second batter of the day, Sebastian Alexander. Later in the AB, Alexander struck out... On a pitch clock violation.

Colby Thorndyke smashed a bases-clearing double, and Coastal Carolina has itself a 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Nightmare first inning for Ethan Kleinschmit.

Goodbye, baseball. Easton Talt mashed a solo shot to right to get Oregon State on the board. First homer of this College World Series for the Beavers. Coastal 3, OSU 1 — B3

Wow. AJ Singer, Oregon State's best defensive player, just made a brutal error on a ready-made 4-6-3 double play. Instead of getting out of the inning, the Beavers now trail Coastal 4-1 in T4.

That was a hell of a catch from Gavin Turley. Had to run a long ways to get there, and the sun is absolutely brual in left field at the moment.

Ethan Kleinschmit's day is done. A less-than-ideal day for the sophomore lefty —he gave up six runs and only two were earned. But he buckled down and ate a few innings for the Beavers. Could pay off later in the CWS for OSU's bullpen.

Jacob Morrison struck out Gavin Turley swinging to finish a 1-2-3 sixth. Morrison screamed, 'Yeah! Come on!' at the top of his lungs as he hopped off the mound. Still Coastal Carolina 6, Oregon State 1 as we head to the seventh.

Coastal Carolina's Jacob Morrison is coming back out for the bottom of the seventh with his pitch count sitting at 85. He has cruised so far. There's some movement in Coastal's bullpen, but nobody throwing yet.

Rain is starting to fall in Omaha.

Jacob Morrison's day is done. Coastal Carolina's redshirt sophomore absolutely shoved all evening. He retired 16 straight at one point and struck out seven batters on the day. Here comes sophomore lefty Hayden Johnson.

Beavers are down to their last three outs. They've got Turley, Weber and Singer due up in B9. Still trailing 6-1.
