A moody sponge: yesterday we visited the Weilheim peatlands. When too dry the peat starts emitting CO2, when too wet the peat starts emitting methane. Only at a delicate level of moisture this creature can absorbing CO2. The conservation is partly funded by CO2 offsetting schemes
