In just 12(!) days we'll be hosting this neat workshop on calibration at FOCS: ideal-institute.org/2024/09/10/foc… There is a great lineup of speakers including Parikshit Gopalan, Natalie Collina, Michael Kim, Adam Tauman Kalai and Princewell Okoroafor. There is still time to book your trip!

I very much enjoyed keynoting this morning at Conference on Digital Experimentation on our rational agent frameworks for benchmarking information displays and designing better decision experiments. What a great venue for geeking out on experimental methods 😀

I regularly teach Edith Elkind's remarkable SODA 2007 paper "Designing and Learning Optimal Finite Support Auctions" in my undergraduate Online Markets class. Today, I will do so for the first time with Edith as a Northwestern University Computer Science colleague! dl.acm.org/doi/10.5555/12…
