I’m very excited to be joining the faculty and researchers of the School of Kinesiology and Physical Activity Sciences (EKSAP) at Université de Montréal #umontreal and at Institutgériatrie #CRIUGM this fall. Looking forward to working with all of you!

Very excited to give this talk at the PERFORM Centre on Nov 3rd 12-1 pm on neuroplasticity, motor learning and aerobic exercise and the implications to motor rehabilitation. See you there at the zoom colloquium webinar! @CentrePerform Concordia University Université de Montréal Institutgériatrie

We are looking for a assistant, associate or full professor of kinesiology to join our team Faculté de médecine universityaffairs.ca/jobs/job-previ… Feel free to pm for more information. Deadline April 7th.

How does exercise affect our brain? We recently discovered that an acute bout of aerobic exercise affects specific interneurons in our motor cortex. Aerobic exercise not only improves cardiovascular health, but also has marked effects on brain function. Maybe we can use AE to help positively shape neuroplasticity for behavior in neurorehab? Looking forward to this symposium with Keith McGregor and Jason Neva !

Our recent meta-analysis showed that a single session moderate or high-intensity aerobic exercise decreases inhibition in our motor cortex. See our paper for more details: authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S01… Congratulations to Layale Youssef for this awesome work! Université de Montréal CRIUGM
