Keeping unemployment low and sustaining wages growth will be a major challenge. Australia must drive stronger economic performance by making itself more competitive, boosting productivity, and attracting new investment.

The Business Council of Australia supports long term infrastructure compacts to feed into our national pipeline to link our regions together.

When we think about regionalisation, we need to think about population differently. It’s not just about numbers. Businesses want skilled workers. We are seeing shortages in every sector. We need to make sure we have the right people for the right jobs.
