Interesting DNA synthesis method from Jay Keasling that might get us beyond the length limitations of phosphoramidite synthesis. x.com/naturebiotech/…

I am proud to announce that Zero Acre Farms, a company I co-founded, has released its first product, cultured oil. It’s low in bad (poly-unsaturated) and high in good (mono-unsaturated) fats. You can find it Zero Acre Farms.

Our latest research has just been published today in the journal Nature. We engineered yeast to produce the cancer therapeutic vinblastine. You can find the work here: nature.com/articles/s4158…. It is the longest biosynthetic pathway ever refactored into yeast.

Last week we published a landmark paper in Nature describing the production of the world's leading vaccine adjuvant, QS-21, in yeast. This work will pave the way for affordable, readily available, effective vaccine adjuvants for the world.
