My May Day two cents: 1. The 8-hour workday was a big victory but it's way past time for the next big victories, which should be UBI and a 4-day week. 2. On International Workers' Day we should be sure to recognize unpaid work as work. Unions should fight for UBI for ALL work.

UBI won’t make people lazy. It gives them freedom to innovate, create, care, and breathe.

The minimum wage should be a number that, if you work at that wage for 40 hours per week, you’re able to afford housing, healthcare, and groceries. That’s not a radical belief.
