New 📖 led by @Iris_M_P & @PMRehsen from @RESIST_CRC & #ForschungsgeistNGS project Uni Duisburg-Essen @unidue.bsky.social @zwu_ude shows how useful a professional engineer (🙏Sebastian Schmuck) is when you need to constantly heat water in a flow-through experimental system #ExStream aslopubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/lo…

New study by @RESIST_CRC team used #ExStream system & holistic response variables for assessment of #multiplestressor impacts on urban streams. Flow impacts 📈. Salinity 📉 Legacy effects possible. @Iris_M_P Jeremy J. Piggott 🦋@jaypiggott.bsky.social DominikBuchner @Bernd_AquatEcol sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

This is amazing! Come join our growing team! 5 new posts!!! #AnimalBehaviour #Biogeography #Wildlife #DistributionModelling #MovementEcology #Biodiversity #Genomics #AssistantProfessor #TenureTrack Trinity College Dublin E3, Trinity College Dublin Trinity Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

I’m really excited to share our new synthesis of 2,396 (!) multiple-stressor experiments conducted in freshwater ecosystems that’s just been published in Ecology Letters: doi.org/10.1111/ele.14…

Here's to new beginnings! 24 new pond mesocosms arrived to be installed at Sch. Biol. & Env. Sc UCD Rosemount. Calling out to potential collaborators interested in ecological resilience, aquatic-terrestrial coupling, ecosystem functioning and more 💦🐌🪱🦠🕷️

🌊Impact of land-use trumps some of the climate change stressors for stream #algae, with complex interactions & sediment a major culprit. Temporal patterns of stressors matter Marcin Penk Jeremy J. Excited to say that my first paper looking at nonlinearity and interactions in multiple stressor-response models is now available to view in Springer Nature Environmental Monitoring and Assessment! Check it out at the link: rdcu.be/dWkhH

We found that including nonlinearity improved 5/6 models while the inclusion of interactions improved 6/6 models! A huge thanks to Marcin Penk and Jeremy J. Piggott 🦋@jaypiggott.bsky.social for helping with this project!
