⚖️ A win for justice in Uganda Our member Twerwaneho Listeners Club (TLC) and others took Katwe Kabatooro Town Council to court for unlawfully granting surface rights over Lake Katwe to a private company, without legal authority or community consultation #LakeKatwe #MiningJustice

The High Court found the Town Council acted beyond its powers. 👉 Only the central government can allocate rights over land, minerals & water, unless explicitly delegated by law. This protects the rights of salt mining communities who've depended on Lake Katwe for generations.
